NSPCC Rocks! – Friday 7th February27 January 2025 (by admin) |
Dress like a Times Tables Rock star on Friday 7th February to raise money for the NSPCC.
On Friday 7th February all pupils are invited to dress like a Times Tables Rock Star (or simply wear non uniform) as we take part in the NSPCC Rocks! Times Tables Rock Star Competition.
We are asking all pupils to contribute a £1 donation via ParentPay as part of this event with all funds raised going to the NSPCC.
The NSPCC Rocks competition supports the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC), a charity dedicated to protecting children and preventing harm.
By participating in this event, our pupils will not only improve their mathematical skills but also raise money for this fantastic charity.
The NSPCC Rocks competition runs from 7.30am to 7.30pm on Friday 7th February.
Pupils can play in any game mode with every correct answer to a multiplication or division question, earning themselves, their class and the school a point.
The Times Tables Rock Stars platform will calculate the class average (the number of correct answers per pupil in the class who play during the competition hours, subject to a daily 60-minute limit (see below)). Winning classes in the school and in the competition as a whole will be the ones with the highest average.
To support player wellbeing, there is a daily time limit of 60 minutes per player. In other words, each player can earn competition points for up to 60 minutes between 7.30am on Friday 7th February 2025 and 7.30pm on Friday 7th February 2025
Once the player goes beyond 60-minutes of play on that day, they will still earn coins but will no longer earn points towards the competition.
There will be special NSPCC Rocks certificates awarded to the highest scoring pupils across the school.
We look forward to seeing pupils in their best rock star outfits on Friday 7th February.
