Odd Socks Day / Anti Bullying Week 20245 November 2024 (by admin) |
Wear odd socks to school on Tuesday 12th November to mark Anti Bullying Week.
We are taking part in Anti Bullying Week next week which runs from Monday 11th November to Friday 15th November.
This is an annual event which we always take part in, as part of our on going work to ensure that our children make the right choices so that kindness and respect thrives in our school.
The theme of Anti Bullying Week this year is 'Choose Respect'.
The theme of Choose Respect has come about following consultation with teachers and pupils by the Anti-Bullying Alliance which coordinates Anti-Bullying Week every year in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Teachers and children wanted a theme that empowered them to do something positive to counter the harm and hurt that bullying causes.
To mark Anti Bullying Week we are taking part in Odd Socks Day on Tuesday 12th November with all children and adults at our school being encouraged to wear odd socks on this day to celebrate what makes us all unique.
We will be completing a range of activities across the week focused on the theme of 'Choose Respect' using the resources from the Anti Bullying Alliance.
